Oct. 15 – Officers took a report for a minor accident that occurred in the Jennie King Mellon Library parking lot. Drivers exchanged information and a report was placed on file.
Oct. 15 – Officers received a call for a man who was possibly carrying a gun near Berry Hall. Officers alongside City of Pittsburgh police checked the area and no one was found in that area.
Oct. 16 – Officers took a report for two Chatham shuttles that bumped into each other while entering campus on Fifth Avenue and Woodland Road.
Oct. 19 – An officer responded to the second floor of Dilworth Hall for the smell of marijuana. When the officer arrived, there was a strong odor in the hallway. The officer checked one room and spoke to students in the hallway but could not locate the source.
Oct. 20 – An officer took a report at Falk Hall for a missing wooden statue. The investigation is ongoing.
Oct. 22 – Officers responded to the Art & Design Center for a possible smell of carbon monoxide along with facilities. The building was checked and no odor was detected. Facilities left an additional carbon monoxide detector in the building.
Oct. 22 – Officers received a call for a student locked inside the bathroom of Lindsay House. The doorknob fell off the door, locking the student inside. The facilities locksmith responded and got the student out of the bathroom.
Oct. 23 – Officers responded to Chatham Eastside for an unknown person placing political signs on the property. Officers made contact with the person, who took the signs down and left the building.
Oct 26 – Officers responded to the back of the Mellon Center for water spraying out of the ground. Officers located what appeared to be a buried hose spraying water. The facilities plumber was notified and shut the water off.
Oct 27 – An officer noticed the front door of Dilworth Hall was not securing properly. The facilities locksmith responded to the notification and fixed the door.
Other updates: Officers responded to one fire alarm and 10 medical transports to UPMC Shadyside Hospital.
