
Sept. 9 – An officer was dispatched to Chung Apartments for the smell of natural gas. Upon arrival, the officer detected no odor in the building.
Sept. 10 – An officer was dispatched to the bottom of Chapel Hill for a minor accident. The officer filed a report.
Sept. 13 – A student came to the police station to report damage to a vehicle parked on Chapel Hill. A report was placed on file.
Sept. 15 – Officers received a call for someone banging on the door of Chung Apartments. Officers arrived, identified the individual and escorted the person off campus.
Sept. 16 – Officers assisted Pittsburgh medics at Chatham Eastside. The patient was transported to UPMC Shadyside.
Sept. 17 – An officer took a report regarding vandalism to the dumpster in the rear parking lot of Jennie King Mellon Library.
Sept. 19 – An officer assisted with a lost dog at Fickes Hall. The dog was turned over to Pittsburgh animal control.
Sept. 23 – Officers discovered an unauthorized person using the vehicle charging station in the Rea House parking lot. Officers made contact with the vehicle’s owner, who was advised to not use the charging stations on campus.
Sept. 23 – Officers were dispatched to Fickes Hall to check on the well-being of a student. Upon arrival, the officers made contact with the student, who was OK.
Sept. 24 – An officer received a call for a theft from a vehicle at Chung Apartments. The officer placed a report on file.
Other updates: Officers transported one person to UPMC Shadyside and another person from Student Health Services to Fifth Avenue Apartments. Public Safety also received two lost-and-found items at the police station.
