
Chatham Student Government (CSG) held its regular meetings on Sept. 4, 11, 18 and 25 in which they appointed new members and discussed CSG’s plans for this semester. Below are the updates from the past month’s meetings.
Resignations and Appointments
In the first meeting of the semester, Dean of Students Chris Purcell was reappointed as CSG advisor for another one-year term. Danielle MacConnell ‘26 resigned as class secretary effective as of the Sept. 11 meeting, and Zion Ross ‘26 was sworn in as her replacement. James Merigo ‘26 was also sworn in as class representative.
Newly elected first-year CSG members were sworn in Sept. 18:

Other Updates
New furniture was delivered to the quad and Fickes courtyard earlier this month after CSG funds were allocated to the purchase at the end of the 2024-2025 academic year.
If students are interested in getting involved with CSG, they can attend an in-person meeting in the Conover Room in the Mellon Board Room on Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Students can also visit the CSG website to learn more about the organization.
