Starbucks workers from Pittsburgh locations gathered to demand that Starbucks bargain with the union and resolve ongoing unfair labor practice changes.
Baristas and members of the community joined a national day of picketing Oct. 26 organized by Starbucks Workers United, the union representing Starbucks workers around the country.
Around 12,000 baristas across 35 cities have joined the union and are advocating for better wages and benefits, according to the Starbucks Worker United website.
Starbucks Workers United started in Buffalo, New York in 2021 and has since expanded its union membership as Starbucks locations nationwide voted to unionize.
