Three Communiqué photographers caught the same moment in time at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 14 across all three Chatham University locations: Shadyside, Eden Hall and Chatham Eastside.

Whether taken in Shadyside, Bakery Square or Gibsonia, these pictures capture the same autumn day at Chatham.

Candice Borowitz, Contributing Writer

Candice Borowitz ’29 is a communications major with a concentration in journalism and a minor in political science. She’s originally from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and chose Chatham for its small community, liberal education and Pittsburgh location. Candice is a contributing writer for the Communiqué and is interested in exploring a variety of topics for the outlet, including photography. In her free time, Candice enjoys discovering new music, reading, watching documentaries, journaling and discovering new antique and thrift stores. Kyle Ferreira, Visuals Editor

Kyle Ferreira 25′ is a media arts major with a concentration in photography. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Kyle chose Chatham because it is a bastion of tranquility and natural beauty in the heart of the city, and because the size of the University lends itself to a more personal experience of higher education. An avid photographer, Kyle believes in the power of visual storytelling for documentary and journalistic endeavors. Kyle seeks to incorporate compelling visuals with the Communique’s written stories. He considers photography and the visual arts to be an essential tool for capturing the attention of an audience and engaging them with stories. In his free time, Kyle enjoys exploring the city or hiking in the wilderness with his camera as his guide. His passion for photography motivates Kyle to perfect his craft, for there is always more to learn and new places to see.

Sarah Naccarato, Digital Editor

Sarah Naccarato ‘27 is a communications: journalism major and photography minor. A Pittsburgh suburb native, Sarah accidentally discovered Chatham on a school trip and has since been finding more people with similar and equally weird interests. Sarah enjoys writing a little bit about everything and keeps the Communiqué website running. Outside of the Communiqué, she enjoys spending time in nature, reading, driving with music and the windows down, making weird art and watching a little too many movies.
