CSG votes to remove officer during impeachment hearing

On March 9, the trial of the impeachment of a Chatham Student Government (CSG) member occurred.

CSG released the following statement to the Communiqué: “The Senate has voted to convict Elizabeth Ruszoski ’23, vice president of communications, on charges outlined in the Articles of Impeachment. She has hereby been removed from office effective immediately. The vote was as follows: On charge one, there were 11 votes of guilty, one vote of not guilty and three abstentions. On charge two, there were 14 votes of guilty, one vote of not guilty, and one abstention. On charge three, there were 13 votes of guilty, one vote of not guilty, and one abstention.

The charges of impeachment were not disclosed to the Communiqué.
