Chatham University’s Rea Coffeehouse Committee hosted a Halloween concert on Friday, Oct. 27 in the graffitied basement of the Rea House. An eclectic lineup of bands played, capping off with an end-of-the-night techno performance from Angelo Licavoli ‘26, who goes by the stage name Disuko, leading to a lively mosh pit of concertgoers, many of whom had dressed up for the concert.
A mosh pit wasn’t the only interesting moment of the night: folk duo Twin Lakes sang their hearts out just days after the release of their new album “Have Fun In Your Party House Where I Never Sleep”; Pittsburgh band of brothers Fosh played alongside their father on the drums; and Evelyn Fay ’25 sang “Georgia Peach,” an original song, while Coffeehouse Co-President Ryan McFarland ‘24 donned a cow costume and played acoustic guitar.
The concert also brought about a big change for Vienna Girls Club, a band made up of Coffeehouse Committee Co-Presidents McFarland and Leelin Bowser ‘25, Treasurer Benji Keeler ‘25 and drummer Liam Lyons ‘24. During their performance, the band announced a name change from Vienna Girls Club to The Dagwoods.
And the music isn’t stopping, according to Keeler. The Coffeehouse Committee plans to host a concert toward the end of the semester in early December and to increase the number of events in the spring.
