Police Blotter: Incidents reported at Chatham University in September

2 a.m. Sept. 1: Officers assisted the Pittsburgh Fire Department with a fire alarm call, which turned out to be a false alarm.

5:33 p.m. Sept. 2: Officer responded to the Art and Design Center for a fire alarm call. Someone activated the pull station near the front stairwell. The building was checked. It was a false alarm.

1:15 p.m. Sept. 9: Officers responded to take a report of a student’s vehicle that was struck by another vehicle in the Jennie King Mellon Library parking lot.  No injuries were reported.

11:45 a.m. Sept. 11: Officers responded, along with Pittsburgh Fire Department, to a fire alarm call in the Hicks Estate building. It was was checked, and no fire or smoke was noticed. It was a false alarm.

8:50 p.m. Sept. 12: Officers took a report for lost property that someone turned in to the Chatham University Police Department.

9:30 a.m. Sept. 13: Officers responded to the Eastside campus for a medical assist. A student had passed out. Paramedics arrived and transported the student to a hospital.

5:15 p.m. Sept. 13: Officers responded to the Eastside campus to take a report from a shuttle bus driver that scraped the side of a shuttle bus while entering into the parking lot.  No injuries were reported.

11:25 a.m. Sept. 14: Officers responded to Anderson Dining Hall to assist a Parkhurst employee who was having a medical emergency.  An ambulance transported the employee to a hospital.

5:15 p.m. Sept. 14: Officers responded to the Terrace parking lot to take a report from a student who struck another vehicle while backing out of a parking space. No injuries were reported.

11 a.m. Sept. 20: Officers responded to the Terrace parking lot to take a report from a student, who stated their vehicle was damaged.

9:30 p.m. Sept. 22: Officers responded to Fickes Hall for a medical assist. An ambulance transported a student to a hospital.

8:15 p.m. Sept. 24: Officers responded to the Athletics and Fitness Center for a medical assist. An ambulance transported a student to a hospital.

5:52 p.m. Sept. 29: Officers responded, along with the Pittsburgh Fire Department, to Falk Hall for a fire alarm call. It was a false alarm.
