  • Advisor Report:
    • Dean of Students and Vice President of Student Affairs Chris Purcell reported that he sent out an email to update the student body on the university’s Title IX changes, namely hiring INCompliance to help update Chatham’s Title IX procedures and impartial investigations in Title IX misconducts.
    • He also reported that IT Support Systems has officially moved into the space in the library, and the empty space in Woodland Hall left by IT Support Services is now set to become a safe space for people with marginalized identities.
  • Class Reports:
    • 2027 Class President Dominic Randall reported that the class of 2027’s project will be to restore the labyrinth in front of Berry Hall.

    • Sophia Boyle ‘23 graduated in December as the class of 2024 president.

  • Open Forum:
    • Purcell previously said there were no building addresses on campus, which made it hard for first responders to find the locations of students on the Shadyside campus. As a result, Chatham was asked to change the addresses on the Shadyside campus, leading to some confusion within Amazon’s system. In regards to the Amazon packages that were lost, Purcell reported that Chatham is working with Amazon to rectify the issue.
    • Class 2025 Vice President Madison Smith asked about the potential for microwaves to be installed in Anderson Dining Hall. Class 2024 Representative Melissa Redding also brought up the issue of multiple cases of raw meat served in Anderson Dining Hall. The Senate referred both issues to the Food Committee.
  • Appointments and Resignations:
  • Ashbey Kirkpatrick was appointed as the president of the class of 2024.
